Buddha Incense Pavilion; The 36-meter-high giant Buddha Pavilion is located on the base of the front hill of Wanshou Mountain, with Kunming Lake and Cloud Hall to the south and the Sea of Wisdom to the north. The statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva standing in the incense pavilion, which is wrapped in copper and gold, is up to five meters high and weighs up to 10,000 pounds. It is said that the Empress Dowager Cixi would come here every month to burn incense and worship the Buddha.
The Long Corridor; Known as the “world’s first corridor”, it is the crystallization of human wisdom and beauty. This 728-meter-long corridor, backed by Wanshou Mountain, starts from the Invitation Moon Gate in the east and ends at the Shizhang Pavilion in the west, closely connecting the scenery of the former mountain.
Happy Birthday Hall; It was the home of the Empress Dowager Cixi and the first electric light in China. In front of the hall, there is a pier for Cixi to take a boat, and a horizontal plaque with gold characters on a black background is written by Guangxu.
Seventeen hole bridge; This bridge is the longest bridge in the garden, consisting of 17 bridge holes, like a long rainbow lying waves. All the plaques on the bridge were written by Emperor Qianlong, allowing people to enjoy the beautiful scenery while also feeling the emperor’s cultural heritage and talent.
