Most of the bears are distributed in Aba, Guangyuan, Mianyang, Deyang, Chengdu, Ya ‘an, Leshan, Meishan, Garze and Liangshan in Sichuan.
The panda habitat in Sichuan consists of seven nature reserves, including Baoxing County, where the world’s first giant panda was found, and Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province of China, including nine scenic areas, including Wolong, Si Niang Mountain, Jiajinshan Vein, and Qingcheng-Dujiangyan Scenic Area, covering 12 counties in 4 cities and prefectures of Chengdu, Ya ‘an, Aba and Garze.

Wolong Nature Reserve
Wolong National Nature Reserve is located in the southwest of Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Established in 1963, Wolong National Nature Reserve covers an area of 200,000 mu and a construction area of 700,000 mu. It is operated and managed by Wolong National Nature Reserve Administration of Sichuan Province. It is also the third national nature reserve, mainly protecting the natural ecosystem of the southwest alpine forest area and rare animals such as giant pandas.
Bee bucket Zhai Nature Reserve
Sichuan Fengtuzhai National Nature Reserve is located in the northeast of Baoxing County, Sichuan Province, on the west slope of Qionglai Mountain. Established in 1975. The area is 39,039 hectares. The main protection objects are rare and endangered animals such as giant panda, golden monkey and mixed mountain forest ecosystem.
Siguniang Mountain Nature Reserve
Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area is located in Siguniang Mountain Town, Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The core scenic spots in the area are Shuangqiao Gully, Changping Gully, Haizi Gully, Yauniang Mountain (Yimei Peak), Sanuniang Mountain, Eruniang Mountain and Daguniang Mountain. Siguniang Mountain has steep mountains and modern glaciers have developed. Siguniang Mountain Scenic Spot is a world Natural Heritage, a national scenic area, a national geopark, a national nature reserve, a World Heritage of Giant panda Habitat in Sichuan, and one of the top ten famous mountaineering mountains in China.
Trumpet River Nature Reserve

Blackwater River Nature Reserve
Sichuan Heishui River Nature Reserve is located in Dayi County, Sichuan Province, located in the western edge of Chengdu Plain. There are major rivers such as Heishui River, Exian River and Inclined River in the area, and there are rich forest resources. The abundant edible bamboo sources, appropriate altitude, appropriate temperature and humidity and other natural conditions in the area are especially suitable for the growth, breeding and habitat of giant pandas. It is one of the 14 protected areas to be built in the “China Giant Panda Protection and Habitat Project” approved by the State Planning Commission in 1992.
Jintang – Kong Yu Nature Reserve
Sichuan Jintang Kongyu Provincial Nature Reserve is located in Kangding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 269.09 square kilometers. The main protected objects are golden monkeys, wildebeest and other rare wild animals. The floristic characteristics are mainly temperate and tropical, ancient in origin, complex in composition and extensive in geographical connection.
Grass slope Nature Reserve
Caopo Nature Reserve, established in 2000, is located in Wenchuan County (Weizhou Town), Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 55678 square hectares. Like Wolong Nature Reserve, it is located in the center of the five mountain systems where giant pandas are distributed in China, and at the eastern foot of Qionglai Mountain system. Introduction of giant pandas
