Wukang Road is a famous road known as “condensing the modern history of Shanghai for a hundred years”. Many all-powerful politicians, militaries, industrialists and literati once lived here, leaving 37 historical buildings or former residences of celebrities. Nowadays, there is quite a sense of changing the old look and feel, with cafes and fashion shops scattered among them, so that the historical light and shadow blend with the present life.
The morning on Wukang Road is quiet. The smell of dew on the sycamore trees gradually dissipated, and the fallen leaves on the ground were swept away by cleaners. He was still pushing, slowly and leisurely, not so much inspecting as admiring the street he had just swept, as if it were a work of art. In fact, Wukang Road is not a work of art. The whole Wukang Road is an undisturbed historical relic, which has been well preserved for centuries.
