Mount Emei

Mount Emei, as one of the top flow scenic spots in Sichuan! I go there almost every year, every season Emei Mountain has a different beauty!

Here summed up the Emei Mountain strategy, the most important thing to go to Emei Mountain is to see the weather. Bad weather, nothing!

Transportation:

Drive from Chengdu to Emei Mountain, about 2 hours by car

High-speed rail Chengdu South to Emei Mountain station, about 1 hour by car

Mount Emei has three major sightseeing areas: free area around the Bao Guo Temple at the foot of the mountain, the hiking area above the Qingyin Pavilion on the mountain, and the golden top area above the Lei Dong Ping on the top of the mountain

Other routes:

Hiking route 1 (about 60km) : Bao Guo Temple – Fuhu Temple – Leiyin Temple – Chunyang Hall – Qingyin Pavilion – Living Monkey Area – Ninety-nine Road Guai – Yuxian Temple – Xixiang Pool – Leitongping – Jinding

Hiking Route 2 (about 30km) : Qingyin Pavilion – Wannian Temple – Monkey Mountain – Xixiang Pond – Leitongping – Jinding

Lazy route: Take a bus from the mountain to Leitongping – Jinding Ropeway directly to Jinding (Walking distance from Leitongping to the middle of Jinding ropeway is about 1.5 kilometers, there are many monkeys, the kind that will rob things)

What you need: ID card, sunglasses (necessary for taking photos), umbrella, thick clothes (it’s really cold on the mountain), water (you can buy it on the road if you have a sufficient budget, bring your own water cup, and the temple on the road can receive water for free)

High anti-medicine or oxygen bottle (I too dish, in the golden high anti-headache to a night did not sleep well), their own foot to bring two sets of clothes, sweat wet good change, otherwise easy to catch a cold

Accommodation: It is best to live in Leidongping cost is basically more than 100, Leidongping walk to Jinding about 2 hours or take the Jinding cableway. Not bad money can choose golden roof accommodation (price starting from 600, general conditions)

Note:

Ninety-nine turns, the sky slope, the good Han slope, and the 2 kilometers of the gold top are really desperate (it is recommended to wear a good patellar belt to effectively protect the knee)

The monkeys on the mountain are very wild, and the peers have bags that are caught and broken (do not expose the food outside, do not pick the bags in front of the monkeys).

Water is indeed very expensive, but carrying water up the mountain is really tired (hiking bags, water cups can be free water in the temple, temple supplies are relatively cheap)

Feel like you could eat a cow when you get to Leitongping (Leitongping Hotel closes at 8pm, try to get there early)

In this season, the sunrise is around 6:10, and the early sunset is very early (after 5:30, there is already early sunset, you can try to advance the time oh).
