How long can foreigners stay in China?

Today (May 15), 2024, Mao Xu, Director of the Foreigners Management Department of the National Immigration Administration, announced at a press conference.

After consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the General Administration of Customs, and reported to the State Council for approval.

The National Immigration Administration has decided to fully implement the visa-free policy for foreign tourist groups taking cruise ships in China’s coastal provinces.

From now on, foreign tourist groups (2 or more) coming to China by cruise ship and organized by domestic travel agencies can enter my country from all coastal cruise ports without a visa for 15 days.

The tourist group must go to the next port with the same cruise ship until the cruise leaves the country, and the scope of activities is the coastal provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and Beijing.

The visa-free entry ports include 13 cruise ports in Tianjin, Dalian, Liaoning, Shanghai, Lianyungang, Jiangsu, Wenzhou and Zhoushan, Zhejiang, Xiamen, Fujian, Qingdao, Shandong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Guangdong, Beihai, Guangxi, Haikou, Hainan and Sanya.
